Christmas is just around the corner, as well as the start of a brand New Year. And for most of the employees, especially the call center agents in the Philippines, these are a few important dates to get their much-deserved leave for the holidays.

The Philippines is most known for its breathtaking sceneries and tourist spots. But among the country’s best places to visit, its beaches are the most sought after. Thousands of foreigners flock to the country, especially during summer. So while it is not that season yet, this holidays is the perfect time to enjoy these places.

Here are a few of the best holiday spots in the Philippines to visit these holiday season.

1. Palawan

If you have been to Palawan before, I’m sure you haven’t explored all of its beauty. There’s Puerto Princesa where you’ll find the underground river (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Another famous activity on this part of Palawan is its stunning island-hopping trips.

The island of Palawan is a paradise on Earth with its stunning beaches, secret caves, luscious forests and mountains. El Nido, another island within Palawan is blessed with limestone cliffs, hidden beaches, and secret lagoons.

A little farther from El Nido is Coron which is uniquely famous for its white-sand beaches and pristine lagoons. Shipwreck diving, snorkelling, and other underwater activities are what’s most visited in this area.

2. Siquijor

One of the most exciting places to travel in the Philippines is the island of Siquijor. Surrounded by myths and magic, the island is known to be bewitched. But aside from its beautiful beaches that are yet to be discovered by most people, the island is home to numerous unvisited falls. These falls are mostly found inside a tropical forest which not many tourists are very aware of.

In Barangay Campalanas,  you’ll find a century-old enchanted Balete tree with hanging vines and roots. It is 400-year old and is believed by the locals to be enchanted.

The Cambuhagay Falls is the probably one of the best falls in the island which has a striking turquoise-coloured warm water from the natural springs. The famous activity in this place is the Tarzan swing which is made from actual vines. Also, the easiest mode of transportation in this place is to rent a motorcycle.

3. Boracay Island

Awarded as the 2012 Best Island in the World by international travel magazine Travel + Leisure, Boracay is undeniably one of the top destinations in the world. But in 2018, the Philippine government issued a decree for a 6-month closure of the island. During the rehabilitation period, they made sure to address all of the problems on the island and re-opened it to the public with a new set of rules and regulations to follow.

As of today, the island is continuously brimming with tourists every single day and is still dubbed as one of the most visited places in the country. So if you haven’t visited Boracay yet, now is the perfect time to enjoy its fine white sand and the infamous nightlife on the island.

4. Siargao Island

Known as the surfing capital of the Philippines, and is highly famous for surfing aficionados, the island of Siargao slowly gaining fame. But if you’re not very fond of surfing, numerous gorgeous beaches and other attractions to appease your wanderlust.
